Interaction behaviors exhibited by the instructor (e.g., the frequency and volume of postings, the timing of feedback) influence the quality of facilitation in an asynchronous environment and serves as a vital component of what adult learners perceive as a successful learning experience. Assessment of instructor involvement using the Enterprise Reporting capabilities within the eCollege Learning Management System provides insight into faculty performance in the online classroom and supports the University’s goal of delivering the highest quality learning experience to adult students.
