Ninon Marapachi

Managing Director, Head of Hedge Fund Origination & Product Management, Bank of America

Ninon B. Marapachi is the head of Hedge Fund Origination & Product Management team within the Alternative Investment Group at Bank of America. Her team is responsible for sourcing (in partnership with the CIO team), structuring, negotiating, and managing hedge fund solutions for wealth management clients at Merrill & Private Bank. Before joining the Alternative Investments Group, Ninon was a senior member of the Capital Markets Group within the Investor Solutions Group at Merrill Lynch.

Ninon has received a number of professional awards: in 2007 she was awarded a “Rising Star Award” by the Women’s Bond Club; in 2008, she was named one of the Ebony Magazine’s “30 Under 30” leaders; in 2011 she was named by the Black Enterprise's as one of the “40 Next Emerging Business Leaders”; in 2012 recognized by Black Enterprise Magazine as one of the “Rising Stars 40 & Under, The Next Generation of Women of Power”; in 2013, she was selected by The International Alliance for Women “TIAW” as one of 100 extraordinary people in the world who have contributed to the economic empowerment of women; and most recent, in 2016, she was recognized by Crain’s Magazine as one of the 40 Under 40.

Ninon contributes significant amount of time and financial resources to support charitable causes. She is on the board of Sponsors for Educational Opportunities “SEO”, an organization that provides superior educational and career programs to young people from underserved communities to maximize their opportunity for college and career success.

Ninon attended Mount Holyoke College and graduated in 2002 with a BA in Economics.

She lives in New York City, with her husband Meck Mbwana Khalfan and two daughters; Kylie & Myla.
