Álvaro Salas Castro is CEO of the Reynolds Foundation, which is committed to deploying $500 million into science, education, and freedom worldwide over the coming decade. He is an expert in behavioral economics, diplomacy, emerging markets, and public-private partnerships with a focus on investment and philanthropy. Dr. Salas Castro teaches the “Navigating Public-Private Partnerships” course for the Cornell Executive MPA program. He is an affiliate faculty member at Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and the INCAE Business School in Costa Rica. He received his Ph.D. in Administration, International Affairs, and Public Policy from Syracuse University, a J.D. from Autonomous University of Central America, a Master of Business Administration from INCAE Business School, a Master of Public Administration from Cornell University, and a Bachelor of International Relations from Universidad Latina.
