Elba’s ascent in the entertainment industry was significantly marked by his roles in HBO’s esteemed series “The Wire” and as the lead in the BBC mini-series “Luther,” for which he received a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and was nominated for four Emmy Awards. Recently, he took on the starring role in the Apple TV+ thriller “Hijack,” where he also contributed as an Executive Producer.
