Jon Lerner is the co-founder and CEO of CoinTracker, the largest crypto tax aggregator globally. Since launching in 2017, CoinTracker has served over 3 million users and tracked more than $50 billion in crypto assets. Its integrations with major partners such as Coinbase and TurboTax, coupled with a relentless focus on data accuracy and compliance rigor, have made CoinTracker the go-to solution for individuals and institutions alike. CoinTracker is the global market leader for cryptocurrency tax compliance, portfolio tracking, and accounting.

Under Jon’s leadership, CoinTracker closed a $100 million Series A in 2022 at a $1.3 billion valuation, led by Accel and joined by investors including General Catalyst, Initialized Capital, Intuit Ventures and Coinbase Ventures. Building on its core consumer success, CoinTracker has since expanded into enterprise accounting, offering a robust crypto sub-ledger and cost-basis engine to help brokers and institutions meet IRS 1099-DA reporting requirements and account for crypto transactions with scale and precision.

Before CoinTracker, Jon co-founded and served as CTO of TextNow, a consumer-tech company now generating over $150 million in annual revenue and serving 100 million users worldwide. Earlier as an intern at Google, Jon was part of the original Android platform team that helped launch and scale the operating system to power billions of devices. Jon holds a BASc with honors in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo and was named Ernst & Young’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year in Ontario in 2012.
