Rory is the Brady-Johnson Professor of the Practice of Grand Strategy at Yale University - a former UK cabinet minister, diplomat and Member of Parliament for Penrith and the Border. He served in Iraq, the Balkans and Indonesia, and worked in Afghanistan, and was a professor at Harvard University. His walk across Afghanistan after 9/11 is described in his international bestseller The Places in Between. He co-presents the UK’s top podcast, The Rest Is Politics, with Alastair Campbell.
