Sean Bill serves as the Chief Investment Officer of Blockstream and is the Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer of the Bitcoin Standard Treasury Company (BSTR).

Blockstream established the first Bitcoin Treasury in 2014and has operated on the Bitcoin Standard since its inception. Sean providesmanagement and oversight of the Treasury and leads the Finance Division in thedevelopment of Bitcoin-based solutions.

The Bitcoin Standard Treasury Company was founded in 2025with an initial commitment of 30,021 Bitcoin, which includes the first Bitcoinin-kind equity PIPE in the United States. BSTR will run an active BitcoinTreasury pursuing alpha and yield strategies while also serving as a catalyst topromote the fusion of bitcoin into finance and capital markets.

Sean is a graduate of Indiana University and the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Named to CIO Magazine’s Power 100 List, he is arecognized expert in institutional investment and a pioneer in integratingBitcoin into traditional portfolios.
