Taffi Ayodele

Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion & Emerging Manager Strategy
New York City Retirement Systems (NYCRS)

In her role as Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion & Emerging Manager Strategy at the Bureau of Asset Management (BAM), Taffi Ayodele spearheads strategies to increase engagement and allocations to Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) and emerging investment managers. She oversees the Minority, Women, and Disabled Veteran-Owned Broker Program and coordinates BAM’s annual Emerging and Diverse Manager Conference.

Ms. Ayodele is a seasoned executive with experience in finance, technology, and real estate. Previously, she was a Principal at Harpia Asset Management and co-founded Thando Holdings, a global fashion and technology company. Forbes recognized her as one of the 10 Emerging Women Entrepreneurs to Watch in Africa in 2015. Earlier in her career, she worked at Blaylock Van, LLC, and served as Director of the Office of Executive Initiatives at the New York State Dormitory Authority (DASNY).

Currently, Ms. Ayodele sits on the boards of NYU Global Libraries and Toigo Advisory, serves on the CFA Institute's DEI Council, and holds positions as Trustee Emeritus of New York University, The Guyana Economic Development Trust, and New Jersey SEEDS. She holds a BA in Economics and an MBA from New York University.
