Investment Risk at the Intersection of Advanced Technology and National Security
U.S. Commerce Department Assistant Secretary Matthew Axelrod and Paul Weiss, LLC Partner and former Justice Department Acting Deputy Attorney General John Carlin will speak to the changing national security threat landscape in a roundtable discussion moderated by Silverado Policy Accelerator Chief of Staff and former Justice Department Spokesman Marc Raimondi. The dialogue will explore how enhanced government focus on export and sanctions enforcement is driving compliance risks for companies and their investors. The session also will cover the recently announced joint agency Disruptive Technology Strike Force and address other significant policy changes concerning export violation voluntary self-disclosures, including on disclosures about the misconduct of others.
